Sponsors for our trip to Normandy

There's a great saying among Grasshoppers enthusiasts: "Keep'em flying!". Keeping a 75 year old Piper L-4 in airworthy condition has its costs. Furthermore, as a requirement from Eurocontrol, all aircraft must be equipped with Mode S transponder as well as 8.33 kHz channel spacing VHF, in order to fly in European airspace. The avionics upgrade is something that enhances the value of the airplane, and these upgrades were carried by the owners. However, to cover the direct cost for fuel etc. we started seeking sponsors a while ago.

Numerous companies were contacted. Very few replied, those who did encouraged our efforts to make the long trip and wished us all the best. Lucky for us, we did manage to get four sponsors in the end. We are very grateful to our sponsors for supporting L-Birds of Norway and enable our participation in the Normandy event. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Our sponsors will get all the good publicity we can offer, as well as the chance to send one lucky person each to fly with us in a "Warbird Formation Flight". We also offer our sponsors a presentation about the L-4's during WW2 and the trip to Normandy. We proudly announce that the three sponsors who made this trip possible are:

We are happy to see that all companies are aviation related. For Flynytt magazine we will write an extensive article about the L-Birds back to Normandy event.
